Sometime we feel like our male StudioHoppers might feel left out at times in the midst of our many barre, Pilates + dance studios. So, we wanted to clarify a few things. The Gym of Social Mechanics (Dallas): If you are looking for a motivating, clean, high-quality place to workout, as well as a community, then you will never want to leave The Gym of Social Mechanics. Social Mechanics is a functional strength and conditioning program. They incorporate foundational lifts, body weight movements, yoga and cardio that simulate daily life situations for the everyday athlete. Fight Club Austin (Austin): After toughing up and take a plunge into our first ever kickboxing experience at Fight Club Austin, we cant help but tell all Austinites about it. Omni Fight Club is a 60-minute cardio kickboxing class aimed at achieving ultimate results. Every session is infused with an energetic boxing/kickboxing flavor. They incorporate heavy bags, speed bags, kick bags, weights, sandbells, kettlebells, and more into a workout that youll love. You can burn up to 700-1000 calories per class. You will leave soaking in sweat, with noodle legs and a sense of relief, because you just left all of your stress out in the bags and in the ring. Onnit Academy (Austin): So besides this place always looking so awesome and making you want to Instagram every move you make in there, it is the perfect place to sweat. Onnit Academy Gym goes far beyond what either a warehouse box or high end commercial gym can offer. They combine unconventional performance training with ancient training implements and techniques to deliver. Their The Academy Fundamentals class is a great way to start! The focus of these classes is to offer a fully comprehensive training experience with ample time dedicated to mobility, movement prep, strength, conditioning and flexibility. To assure that each of these goals are reached, they follow a formulaic approach to programming these classes that look like this… Mobility – 10 Minutes, Movement Prep – 10 Minutes, Primary Set – 10 Minutes, Conditioning Set – 20 Minutes and aCool Down – 10 Minutes Although they follow this formula for each class…the experience is different each time as we include various different movements and tools into the programming.
MOVE Fitness (Austin): Get your MOVE on! MOVE is another great option for an awesome workout with an added sense of community! Their instructors are called coaches, and they consider ourselves not only your trainer, but also your life coach and best friend. You will never be just a client or a number to.
